We are planning to cycle up to The Sportsman, Mogador. Hope to see some friends from the northern quarter!

Meet at The Hatch (which is closed at present) at 7pm.  Mainly off-road tracks to Walton-on-the-hill. Should arrive at The Sportsman by 9pm.

It will be a pleasant temperature to sit outside.

Hi Sue and Nigel,

I hope to be there this time. The Sportsman is in the northern quarter!

By the way I would not recommend eating there. At the beginning of the year the food was great but I went there recently for lunch and a number of items were no longer on the menu and what was left was rather uninspiring pub food. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant - a bad sign.

Hi Lynne,

I'll try and make it but I have been suffering several nose bleeds over the last couple of days which come on without warning. Nothing serious but having looked it up on the internet, it is almost certain that the recent extremely hot weather has been the cause. If I bung up the offending nostril with cotton wool and place an ice pack on my nose it usually stops the bleeding. Today has been the first day where I haven't had a nose bleed (possibly because the temperature is cooler). If it stays that way, I'll join you (subject to the weather of course) but I'm afraid I will give it a miss if I have another nose bleed.

Sorry I couldn't make it last Tuesday. Fortunately my nose bleeds have stopped now the cooler weather is here but I didn't want to risk it on Tuesday. Not certain about next Tuesday as we are meant to be starting interviewing candidates for MD next week.
