I would like to warmly announce what the Japanese woodwork class will do this next semester.
We will learn basic Japanese style woodwork for 15 weeks beginning this January.
In class I will introduce Japanese tools and teach how to use these tools to make some jigs as small projects.
In the end of the semester, students will create their own designs for their final projects.
Because Japanese style and ideas are not always the same as western, they created different way based on their own culture and life style.
I will introduce many subjects of the Japanese way which can be understood by all levels of skill. Beginners are welcome.
The study of Japanese woodwork is an enjoyable and deep subject that provides learning for a lifetime.
Check it out if you have time this coming the holidays.
If you have further questions, please feel free to contact me.
