FIW Alumni here, my name is Sterling Lucas I graduated last year in May. I work for Elevated Stair and Rail. We are a custom stair and hand rail company. We need someone motivated, knowledgeable, with strong skills in math, communication, and willingness to learn and achieve, must have solid organizational skills and good with time management. Must be able to read a tape measure and do basic adding and subtraction. Must have a keen eye for attention to detail but not spend unnecessary amounts of time doing things that set everything back by hours or a day.
We need someone who can work most likely Wednesdays 8-4:30 to start. I know it's only 1 day a week but will lead to more hours as we grow (probably soon bc the company has populated pretty quickly in a short year to almost a dozen people between the hourly and piece work folk). We may be open to another day if Wednesday can’t work. But ideally would be that day.
Here you will wear multiple hats and you must be on board with playing ball. Position starts between $18-22/hr but if you have more value the owner makes those decisions accordingly.
The job includes: building delivery orders, making parts we can't get from suppliers, hand selecting lumber for jobs, milling making custom Newel posts and rail profiles, sanding use of shaper and general shop machines tools. Delivery's to homes/ jobsites, pick up orders from suppliers, assist installers as needed. The job is physical so there’s a lot of lifting of raw lumber and team lifts as needed. Would you be interested and do you have a portfolio of your work? Please attach a work resume, cover letter if you have it, and 8-10 photo samples of your work student projects or employment related experience. Must have clean MVR and background to proceed. Please add a few short sentences about yourself and why you feel you’d be a good fit for the position. The best responses will be forwarded to the owner.
Biweekly pay, major holidays, sick leave, van is supplied for use, quarterly profit sharing. Review after 30 days with potential for wage increase. Company card for company orders.
We do not offer medical, dental, or vision, nor 401k at this time but are revisiting these as the company grows bigger.
Respond to my email with resume, cover letter, email, and 8-10 images of your experience.
We have a perfect 5 star with reviews on Google. Company website see our gallery:
Good fortune to you all,
Sterling Lucas
