Hello everyone, we are excited to announce our next gathering is Saturday May 17th 9:00-12:00. The shop will be open from 8:30-12:30.

Tak and I would like to spend time this month working on chisel setup, maintenance, and repair. Chisels play a pivotal role in woodworking from joinery cutting to kanna tuning and many aspects in between - let's get familiar with this simple and highly versatile tool.

For anyone that does not have a block plane or other hand tools, we strongly suggest purchasing some for yourself, this plane from Suzuki tool in a 48mm width is recommended - it is a great plane to start with. Chisels, saws and whatnot can be purchased from Suzuki tools, Hida tools, etc. Don't hesitate to ask if you are unsure of what to get.
