A customer asked if we can help create and use e-signatures for use when emailing employers. I’ve not used an electronic signature before. Are we able to do this in the Resource Room? If so, can someone explain how it’s done?

Hoping others with actual experience with a customer creating an e-signature will discuss their experiences. I briefly researched the internet and found a short article from ehow.com on this subject. Sounds as simple as a person using a personalized Pin # along with the name and checking off a box on an online agreement confirming the e-signature. http://www.ehow.com/how_5883798_sign-employment-applications-online.html

Do you mean a signature like what we use on our Outlook emails (name, contact information, etc.) or an e-signature for signing forms and documents?

Not just an email signature, but an e-signature for signing an email to an employer. She’d like to use an actually signature versus typing her name so the cover letter (email) looks more personalized.

I use an electronic signature (my actual signature) on my expense reports. Here is what I did:
1. Wrote my name on a sheet of paper
2. Scanned the signature
3. Cropped the paper around my signature to the size that was workable for me
4. Saved the signature to a file which I copy and paste into documents that need it.
