Hello, all.

Since most of the TTY phones are not being used, they can be removed from your WFC. This would save costs on disconnecting a phone line. Please instruct staff to use Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) by calling 711 as a replacement to the TTY phone.

Also, these TTY phones are no longer in use:
  • 651-296-3900 original TTY number
  • 800-657-3973 toll free TTY number
  • 888-657-3973  I noticed that this number was used on DEED’s site too, but I think it’s a typo from VRS’ 800 number
Link to PDF providing info and instructions on TRS: http://transition.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/711.pdf

"If you want to call someone using TRS...dial 711 on your telephone, and you will automatically be connected to a TRS operator. If you’re a TRS user traveling out of state and want to make a call, there is no longer a need to learn the state’s TRS provider’s telephone number. Just dial 711. It’s fast, functional and free."

Please post any questions or concerns.

Thanks, Lisa

Hey, Julie. Work is busy as ever, but all is good. You’re missed, a lot! Hope you like your new digs! I’ll need to stop out there sometime soon. J
