Hi
Yes, this is possible.
The ACES settings have to be part of the job as each render app (3D, Comp) or project might have different settings.
Then the rrViewer and the preview images in rrControl have OCIO applied.
We have implemented OCIO in most of our submission plugins.
Which render app do you use?
Do you use our submission plugin?

Hi
As a first step, please verify that OCIO is read correctly from your scene.
Either in rrSubmitter:
Or rrControl:
If you do not get OCIO settings, please state RR version and submission plugin version:
If the OCIO settings are submitted with the job, then take a look at the render log if there is an issue with OCIO:
(it might report that the config file is not found)
The preview images in rrControl and images in rrViewer show “OCIO” if it was applied:
Hi
According to our fixes list, 9.1.14 was the last version with a fix for OCIO in C4D.
I have tested some settings and I have found a bug.
Please verify that “Linear Color” is NOT enabled in the rrJob settings.
Then open the rrViewer via the “View” button again.
Does it show a yellow OCIO now?
Hi
I will add some log messages to the rrClient and rrViewer about the OCIO conversion to find out why it does not work on your side.
If you open the rrViewer, do you get at least the yellow “C” in the corner?
Hi
Thanks for confirming.
Then the case is reduced to two issues.
FYI:
The new RR version is about to tested today and I can send you the version.
If you enable a debug mode for jobs, then it will print all OCIO infos into the app logs.
And it will convert half of the image only, this way you can directly see if there was some conversion.
Hi
The update is ready:
www.RoyalRender.de/download/support/RoyalRender__9.1.17a__updateFrom_9.1.14+.zip
Please note that while the rrViewer should now be able to use Cinemas OCIO config,
the more important issue is that the small “C” is missing in rrViewer for your render.
As the rrViewer is able to load a whole sequence in 2 seconds instead of 2 minutes with that feature.
And OCIO is applied in the table/player even if your machine has no C4D installed.
Changes:
FYI:
You can use the latest official update as well.
No need to download the in-between version.

Hi
> can confirm this issue has been fixed now, OCIO working flawlessly in the rrViewer
Do you get the small yellow C in the corner of the thumbnails in rrViewer?
