Hello there,

I had to rename the computer, which the royal render server is running on, to streamline our PC naming convention in the studio and now I am getting this error message: Server name 'NEW-PC-NAME' does not match license file (OLD-PC-NAME)!   9.1.14

How can I fix this? I have already tried to change the server name in the license.txt, but that did not work. Thank you in advance.

just to follow up, if that information helps: in the rrConfig under RR License it is also still stating the old PC name, not sure how to change that.

Hi

Our system required a new License Request file.

Start rrConfig on your new rrServer machine. Open tab License.

Press [Alt] on the keyboard and click on "Server Mac (HostID)" at the top left.

Choose "Temporaly" to not break your current farm until you have the new license file.

Choose the right HostID via the select button.

Save request and upload it.

Thank you,

we did those steps, do we need to manually upload the license request or does it happen automatically?

Hi

You have to click one of the buttons in rrConfig:
