Installing Redshift from maxon app breaks render node (version mismatch)

We've been experimenting w/ C4D team render a bit, and I updated some of the nodes with a newer redshift (2026.5) through the Maxon App (also did some of them w/ a manual installer, same result), however it broke the rendernodes because it sees a version mismatch between what's installed locally in C:\Program Files\Maxon Redshift 2026 and what version it was submitted as.
I know royal render copies the correct version to C:\RR_localdata\renderer_exe\cinema 4d\win_x64\Redshift_2026.X.X, why is it trying to use the local installed version instead of the version in rr_localdata?
I did resave/submit the scene with the same verison as the royal render node and it worked fine, but it just means it's using the locally installed version. How do you tell it to use the version in rr_localdata?

Hi
The only option I see so far is to delete the plugin c:\Program Files\Maxon Cinema 4D 2026\plugins\Redshift.
Then you have to open C4D and change the Preferences.
Add the plugin folder c:\Program Files\Maxon Redshift 2026\Plugins\C4D\R2026\.
The Preferences are local to the user so the renderfarm user is not affected by it.
The only other option I can think of is that RR renames the local plugin while C4D starts and renames it back after a short time.

Yes! Deleting C:\Program Files\Maxon Cinema 4D 2026\plugins\Redshift seems to have fixed it! But why is royal render trying to use what's in there anyway? Shouldn't it just use what's in rr_localdata?

Cinema4D is always loading plugins from its application folder.
I have tried to find a way to disable this plugin folder, but that is not possible.
It is only possible to add other plugin folders.
