Houdini Context Option Editor

Hello,

can anybody speak to the support of context options in Houdini? We'd like to move things from env vars to context options for things such as render dirs and shot names.

With the current Submitter PlugIn all I get is a non resolved @variable for an output directory on a Mantra ROP for example.

The current submitter is only able to replace $Variable names in output paths.

 

 

I know there was a customer who used a scripted output.

I do not know the details, but they used an additional sparse parameter with an expression or script attached tot he ROP.

Then this was writing the resolved output name into the ROPs filename parameter.

To clarify:

$Variable/${Variable}  support environment variables or scene variables (Houdini menu Edit/Variables).
