i setup my renders including light groups to be denoised with Arnold Noice . I tested this on a local batch render. The resulting image could be denoised easily. When rendering via RR they couldn't be denied anymore, noice was complaining it cannot find associated variance-aovs.
When i rendered it with the RR-option "Crop Exr" OFF... it works fine with noice.
So something seems toi alter the aov-data. Maybe this could be fixed ?

Hi

RR converts the file into a multi-part EXR 2.0 if it is enabled in rrConfig, tab Images.

Perhaps the denoiser has an issue with this conversion.
Although it should not have an issue with multi-layer files.

Is is possible to get one of your files before the crop and your denoise commandline?

Hi

If you still want to use thr CropEXR to to crop and convert the exr into 1-scanline files, then you have to disable EXR 2.0 for now in rrConfig, tab images.

I have informed Solidangle that EXR 2.0 does not work.

Perhaps they can fix it in Arnold 6.0 at some time.

FYI:
Solidangle already had a feature request for it.
