Hi
You have to take a look into the rrHelp section 3D-Blender, not the Archive/Standalone-Octane.
Please see “Custom Add-ons”: https://www.royalrender.de/help/Blender.html
In short:
You probably have installed Octane into the folder of your windows/linux user.
Which means it is not available for any other person (including RR).
So you have to copy it into a shared folder in RR which is then loaded by all Blender instances on your farm.
And Blender does not auto-load plugins automatically, so you have to tell Blender to load the addon.
I would recommend way “A” in the help file as it is easier)

Hi
>For your recomended way "A" in the helpfile, i don´t find the "Load Add-ons" checkbox... where i have to have a look ? In the rrSubmitter ?
Yes, it is a job option.
Afaik it was added in 9..16 or .17.
> I think because Octane is built-in within the Blender-Version of Otoy this is not a "third-party" plugin like in official versions of Blender ?
Sorry, did not know that.
I assumed Octane is a plugin like it is for every other render app like Maya, C4D, Houdini.
In this case “A” "Load Add-ons" checkbox will not work anyway.
I will see if we can find some other way to identify 3rd party as well.
Perhaps with the website link of the plugin.
I am downloading the special version right now.
Hi
I can reproduce that Octane-Blender does not work on the farm.
Perhaps related to this exception (log order is sometimes wrong in Blender):
Another question arises:
Do you want to use the Octane-Blender for everything now?
Or do you need both Blender types for different projects?
Which means RR will handle Octane-Blender as a different render app than Blender.
Like it would handle Nuke/Houdini.
Hi
I have a fix for OctaneBlender:
Please see 1) on this page: https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=85117
And the next RR version has a new render app OctaneBlender.
(Release is scheduled for next week)
