Hey everyone,
I’m getting in touch because I’m really stuck at the moment — maybe someone here has run into this issue before?

I’m currently facing an issue where Alembic files don’t render properly through our render farm. Interestingly, this only affects .abc files that were created using Bifrost and then exported via the Maya Alembic Exporter
(Output to Maya Mesh → export Alembic).

When I render the scene locally on a single machine, everything works fine.
However, as soon as the job runs through the farm, the Alembic cache seems to be ignored — in most cases, only some frames actually render with the Alembic data. Even when I render the job on just one machine in the farm, some frames are correct and others aren’t... And it’s not always the same frames — when I restart the job, different ones fail each time.
i tried the same scene with the hardware renderer ... and here the cache was rendered correct ... also with the software renderer

We’re using Royal Render in-house, with Maya 2025.3 and Redshift 2025.5.0. (2025.2.2 same result)
All files are stored on the same network drive, and all users have identical read/write access.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I’ve already reached out to the Redshift team,
but unfortunately, they weren’t able to provide a solution.

Ok, i found the problem ...
I downgraded the Redshift Version to 2025.1.1.
Now the .abc files was read correct ...

I have no idea whats tha change between this version and the Newer ones ... but there must be something 😅
