Hello,

I'm trying to make Redshift work with Royal Render but I keep getting those errors :

Possible issue found in this log file (393): [Redshift] Maxon licensing error: Promise Went Out of Scope Domain: General (2)

I can render without problems with Houdini on the machine. I copied the redshift folder on my NAS inside the rr folder.

Please find attached the log of the render.

Thank you !

Hi

I have contacted MAXON to get an information what the message means.
And requested a feature that they use meaningful error messages.

> I can render without problems with Houdini on the machine
Note that you had been logged in with a different user and/or had difference user preferences.

I would try to set the license login data again via the Royal Render user.

Please follow the steps mentioned on this page, section Licensing:

http://www.royalrender.com/help/Redshift.html

Hello Holger,

Thank you for your quick response. I'm trying to follow the documentation but I don't understand some aspect.

I found the MAXON_License_reg.bat  file and add my login and password.

" Start the rrSubmitter and load the file maxon_license_login.bat (windows) or .sh (linux)"  What do you mean by "load the file" ? Where can I load it in the submitter ?

" Change the renderer at the bottom to "OnceEachClient"   I cannot find this option everywhere on the submitter. Where should I look ?

Thank you.

Make sense thank you !

Here is the result of the script. It seems the license is activated. rrControl_M3G2bLuHTL.png

Ok I managed to make it work. I installed the last version of RR 9.1 and move all my packages in the ProgramFiles folder of Houdini and also in the predetermined folder for packages in my RR installation folder. Now It seems the license is found and working. Thank you !
