Hello everyone,
When analyzing the same trait in multiple environments, detecting a consistent and stable QTL is an interesting wanted result. This is highlighted through the detection of the same QTL as significant in the different analyses conducted.
The thing is, in most cases you may not obtain perfect results where the co-detected QTL is characterized by the exact same peak position and interval values, thus presenting some cM deviations.
Now, the question is: When you judge a QTL to be co-detected? or in other words, when you can judge that two detected QTLs, on the same chromosome, with different peak and interval values, in two independent analyses, are most likely representing the same QTL?
