Hi Tim,

This is from RQ Citizen's Disaster Relief Network Japan, Tokyo Headquarters.
First of all, we'd like to thank you for your concern in Tohoku and to RQ
activities.

We, however, will be closing our activity in Tohoku area for the winter due to
the natural conditions there.  Such severe climate is unaccustomed to most
general volunteers, and we fear that letting untrained volunteers work under
unfamiliar climate may lead to some unfortunate accident.

Moreover, RQ as a whole body will be shifting its present phase of activity to
another stage, which will be more well-suited to the present conditions in
the disaster struck areas.

All the information will be posted to our website. Though our contents in
English are not satisfactory enough yet, we are working on its enhancement;
we hope that you will soon be able to obtain the most updated RQ information
if you look up there.

In other word, please keep in touch with RQ's website for the time being until
we will announce our next phase.

I personally appreciate your sincere concern in Tohoku and its people, which
is situated far away from your own country, and wish you enjoy the upcoming
journey to Thailand.

Thank you very much and best regards,
