Hi - I have joined the group to research what I would need to build a good 8mm to digital scanner unit. After two nights of reading I am more confused as I started. Can someone give me a breakdown of the hard ware I would need and the software.

1. Stepper motor - Nema 17  (12v /24v)
2. Optical sensor
3. Raspberry V2 camera
4. Lens (unknown)
5. software Python 3
6. controller (Raspberry pi ?)
7. what else should I need.

I do have an Eumig 8mm projector that I will be re-engineering.
