Greetings everyone!

I've commissioned artwork from Steven Austin ( http://www.stevenaustinart.com ) for the Christmas Holiday season - the theme is "A Very Steampunk Christmas" and the artwork will be released under Creative Commons. The illustration is still in concept stages, but suffice to say it will include a bad ass santa raging through the sky with a Krampus on the back of the sleigh dangling a rope over the side with a dozen or so bad children hanging on for dear life. I've seen the early concept sketches and it looks pretty awesome.

I letting you all know in advance so that - if you like - you could get a copy of the art before we publish it to our blog and put it up on RPGNow.com (for free). The artwork will be published under a under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. This basically means you'll be free to use the artwork however you like for non-commercial purposes so long as you attribute the work to Steven Austin. Of course - I would love it if you would link back to Nevermet Press along the way as well. The goal would be for everyone who participates to post a Seasons Greetings to their blog on or around December 24th.

Let me know if you are interested. I think this could be a really cool way for the RPG blogging community to spread some good humor and charm over the holidays.

Once I have a finished or near finished copy of the illustration on hand I'll share it those who are interested.

note: If you are not religious or don't celebrate Christmas - I'm not trying to exclude you from this. You'll be free to "remix" edit cut up photoshop, etc the illustration however you like (as per the CC license).

Cheers all.

Forgot to mention - all the participating blogs will be linked back to in a "Round Up" on Christmas Day; sort of like a mini-blog carnival.

Great news everyone - it looks like Sean Fannon and OneBookshelf, Inc (RPGNow.com / DriveThruRPG.com / etc) will also be running the artwork in a coordinated RPG Seasons Greeting later in December!

This is going to be a great show of solidarity for the community. I'm reaching out to a few other publishers too, hopefully we'll be able to have this pick up momentum and spread far and wide.

I'd love to get in on a coordinated seasons greetings. Can only offer space on my blog to go with it, but definitely interested in spreading the word.

Quick update on this:

So far I have the following websites/blogs/publishers who have said they are interested in participating.

ENWorld.com (the world's largest RPG forum - yeah them), Pinnacle Entertainment Group (of Savage World fame), OneBooksShelf Inc (hats off to DriveThruRPG.com, RPGNow.com, etc), RoleplayingTips.com, Game Knight Reviews, Skyland Games, UncleBear.com, Doctor Fantastique's Show of Wonders, Reality Refracted, Tenker's Tavern, Troll in the Corner, and Nevermet Press.

If you are not on this list and want to participate in this mini-blog carnival for the Christmas week (and get some awesome artwork before it's released), then let me know.

To make it a bit more flexible - I've opened it up to posting the Christmas/Holiday greeting as early as December 20th. I'll post a round up on December 25th of all the participating sites. The artwork should be available by December 15th or thereabouts.

Cheers all

Krampus is right the ol' pre-Christian holiday river. I'm in. Don't know what I'll do exactly for a Very Steampunk Yule, but I'll think of something.

Excellent! DiceMonkey, MadBrew, and Enderra all welcome additions to the fray.

I've pitched my contacts at WIRED and TOR Books this morning as well. We'll see how well that goes.
