Hello all, and thank you Vincent,

I keep encountering a problem with my activity diary where I keep getting the error:

Error in FUN(X[[i]], ...) : object 'hourinday' not found

I am unable to provide the .csv to my activity diary due to IRB protocols; however, I have checked multiple times that it matches the format required by GGIR.

For context, I was able to get the first 3 participants to run, but encountered problems after adding more.

Is there a common etiology of this problem?

Thank you in advance!
Jet

Hello Jet,

Could please do the following steps:
  1. Try to reproduce the error by running the following GGIR function g.conv.actlog(qwindow, qwindow_dateformat, epochSize = 5). Replace parameter names by the actual value you used.
  2. Remove the majority of rows in the diary, except one or two rows that trigger the error.
  3. Check again that you can reproduce the error with the resulting file.
  4. Delete the participant ID column and if you are worried that dates make your data identifiable add integer number of days to all your dates, where the integer is only known to you. Hopefully you are able to share the resulting file. Feel free to send it private to me (v.vanhees @ accelting.com) instead of here in the google group.

Best,
Vincent
