Hi Vincent- We are collecting 10 days of wrist worn actigraph data on 3-4 year olds and want to assess their daytime and night time sleep as well as thier PA levels. We'd like to use GGIR, but are concerned that we won't be able to capture naps. Are there any updates regarding the ability to asses daytime naps using GGIR from wrist worn devices? It looks like this is something that you are working on. Is there a timeline of when it might be available?
I see that sleep logs can be used to identify naps, when using this method will naps still be identified as sustained inactivity bouts in the output?
I also see from previous conversations that you mention the potential to train seperate models for wrist worn data. What kind of a sample size would you need and do you need it to be compared to a gold standard like psg or could free living data be used? If free living data would work, we might be able to help with this.
Best,
Jenny Moreno
