We would like to introduce ourselves as a firm of publishers and booksellers specializing in Jain studies, Sanskrit, Hindi, English, Prakrit and Urdu literature. We are the oldest bookstore of Mumbai, founded by the illustrious scholar Pandit Nathuram Premi on 24 September 1912.
We take great pride in our wide and eclectic collection books based on all four puruṣārthas {valid fields of endeavour} - dharma {piety}, artha {profit}, kāma {pleasure} and mokṣa {liberation}.
We have published excellent books on Jainism under the Pandit Nathuram Premi Research Series. We have also published many books on ethics and morality. This is in keeping with our desire to produce books that lead to a better world, a world where ethics and honesty play a central role in our dealings with ourselves and with others. Apart from our publications, we sell a plethora of books in English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Prakrit, Pali, Gujarati and Urdu publications by India’s leading publishers.
