ॐ ह्रीं श्रीपार्श्वनाथाय नमः

Auṃ Hrīṃ ŚrīPārśvanāthāya Namaḥ

​केयूरा न विभूषयन्ति पुरुषं हारा न चन्द्रोज्ज्वलाः

न स्नानं न विलेपनं न कुसुमं नालङ्कृता मूर्धजाः।

वाण्येका समलङ्करोति पुरुषं या संस्कृता धार्यते

क्षीयन्ते खलु भूषणानि सततं वाग्भूषणं भूषणम्॥

न बाज़ूबन्द से, न चन्द्रमासम उज्ज्वल हार से, 

न स्नान से, न सुगन्धित पदार्थों के विलेपन से, 

न फूलों से न अलंकृत केशों से,

पुरुष की शोभा तो सुसंस्कृत वाणी से है। 

आभूषणों की चमक तो मन्द पड़ जाती है 

परन्तु सन्तुलित वाणी की गरिमा सतत रहती है।  

Armlets do not add lustre to a man, 

Nor does a necklace, even though it may be as luminous as the moon

Neither bathing, nor anointing oneself with fragrant substances, 

Neither decorating oneself with flowers, nor fashionably styled hair

Nothing adds to the grace of man like well chosen words

The aura of jewels fades with time
But the glory of sweet words remains undiminished
