Youcan simply pick one, as I did in all the examples below, or you can further customize the preset using sliders. You can adjust a variety of settings such as the brush stroke, brush size, and the number of strokes, as well as other aspects of the preset such as colour hues, lighting effects, and textures.

The interface is very intuitive to use. On the left side you will see your photo with the preset applied to it. In the example below, I have split the left side so it shows the before and after versions of the image.

On the right side, you pick one of the collections from a drop box at the top, and then all the presets within that collection are shown as thumbnails below it. This is a very quick and easy way to see how each of the presets are going to look on your photo. You simply click a thumbnail and the preset will be applied to the preview on the left.

you took some really nice photos and destroyed them with a cheap shot short cut. except the yacca, thats better. at least if you did work on them you could call them digital graphics.these plugins would best be served on your unusable photos. if you ever had any. love your work!

Hi Don, You can go here and submit a support request ticket: -us/requests/new

Another thing you could try is to go go topazlabs.com and see if you can sign in. Sometimes when you purchase, you set up an account along the way, and if you did, you might be able to sign in and find your key. I hope this helps!

Impression 2 opened from PSCC 2017 below screen. About 1/4" can be seen of the top of Impression but it will not drag or open further.

Tried deleting and reinstalling 3 times. It does appear in PS under filter/Topaz and is the the same folder on my hard drive as Simplify, Adjust and Mask.

Please help!

Thanks for providing these files. I'll take a look at these as soon as I can, but it's the end of the week, and I have some "extra" tasks that will prevent me from working on typical support this weekend. I'll ask @AshleyTharp to help with this when we get an opening to investigate. Texture Effects 2 syncs effects and assets from the cloud (added in TFX 2), whereas image/canvas assets are included with the Impression 2 installer. So, Texture Effects does not require me to replace the files, but Impression 2 does. The Texture Effects 2 tool is very basic when compared to the other tools, due to the addition of the sync architecture feature that delivers those assets for us after install.

Submitted a ticket late March. No response.

Emailed he...@topazlabs.com on March 30.

April 1 I get a canned email that suggests I check the provided URLs for "solutions to common issues".

Write back the same day that I already did that and found nothing of help.

Get email from Joe Fedric telling me to go back to version 1.0 and let him know the result.

I write back the same day saying that version 1.0 worked fine.

I have the same problem as here:

Community Login via Topaz Texture Effects 2 does nothing Product Technical Support [image]when I attempt to Login to the "community" in Topaz Texture Effects, NOTHING happens when I click the Login button. Despite having verified credentials. Further, the one Forum issue on the topic, about a script to 'fix' topaz texture I ran and it did not change things. Would be nice to be able to login and share. Please assist as you can.

Clicking on "login" just does nothing! Yes, login data are right!

I continue to have this problem with Detail 3 ever since I installed it. In the past in order to recover the presets that should appear in the filter I have uninstalled and re-installed it numerous times. The presets show up for awhile but then disappear.

Today I ran Detail 3 from with in TS 0.8.1 and observed that the presets in the Creative group were missing again. I would like to be able to solve this problem once and for all with your help.

The preset previews with Impression, Texture, and Glow don't show. It lists the name of the preset and has the 3 bars where the preview should be. If you click on the preset, it shows all the possible adjustments but are inoperative. Closing the program is difficult. Windows 10, LightRoom CC everything is updated.

Thanks

I just got the Topaz Photo Collection and installed it. I can launch for e.g. Denoise 6 from the desktop shortchut but when I try to open via Lightroon using context menu "Edit in", nothing happens. What could be the issue here? Am I missing something?

So I bought glow and impression on Sunday and they load in PSCC 2015.5 and I can open an image but I can't get the effects to work. It seems like it's doing something but no changes. I can get them to work as standalones (although impression sometimes get's stuck mid-change). I also have denoise and texture effects installed and both load nicely in PS and work. I've had them for a while now - recently upgraded and they work ok.

I recently encountered a problem with Topaz Glow that is not unique to that product. In fact it has occurred on several others that use a legacy method to draw on the screen.

The Problem: Topaz Glow (and possibly others) don't display after rearranging monitors.

If you have multiple monitors and say that you have them arranged in this order

1(primary) - 2 (secondary)

Then run Topaz Glow and associate it with monitor 2, it runs fine.

Switch the monitors

2 (secondary) - 1 (Primary)

Topaz Glow appears to run in the task bar, but is no where to be seen. That is because Topaz Glow believes that it should still be to the right of monitor 1 which is not there.

The solution:

Go back into the control Panel, rearrange the monitors to their original location and Apply

Topaz Glow will show up again. Now drag it to the monitor 1 (primary) and minimize.

Rearrange your monitors back to where you had them and Apply.

Topaz Glow now knows about monitor 1 and where it thinks Monitor 2 is.

When I launch Glow 2, Impression 2, or Texture Effects 2 either standalone, from Lightroom CC, or my usual method, from Photoshop CC 2017, I always have to re-login to the community so that my favorites, etc., sync and all that. It used to be remembered. I'm not sure when it stopped remembering. Sometime during the beta testing of Topaz Studio, which, incidentally, DOES always remember me on successive launch sessions. The same problem occurs whether on my 2012 MacBook Pro running 10.12.4 or my Mac Pro running 10.11.6. I have submitted a help ticket, but as of yet, no response so thought I'd throw it out here and maybe someone has an idea. I have installed and reinstalled them from scratch on both computers, twice, and that didn't fix the problem.

I hope this is the right place to post this question or request. In short, I'd love to have the ability to apply layer masks from DeNoise. I find that often there is only a section of an image that I'd like to smooth out. Any thoughts or workarounds would be appreciated. I know I can create to images, merge them via reveal all etc. but that's a bit of a pain. Having just returned from the jungle where I was shooting at 1000 ISO - 3500 ISO I find I'm suing DeNoise more than I'd like to, but often only for sections of the image. I assume there is some technical reason this is not an option. Thanks in advance!

Joe, i'm having a little problem. When i use textures as a stand alone it does not let me quit the program when i finish my processing. I must use force quit all the time. Any idea what's going on with that.

Topaz Labs recently released their latest plugin Photo AI. This is largely a product combining the features of Topaz DeNoise AI, Topaz Sharpen AI and Topaz Gigapixel AI into a single plugin that uses an Autopilot option to analyse an image, select the subject and automatically apply corrections for noise and sharpening and can also upsize an image if needed.

If you have a current licence for the Topaz Image Quality Bundle (DeNoise, Sharpen and Gigapixel) this includes a free licence to Photo AI. As a result I have been trialing this over the past week and my initial impression is that it provides a easy automatic option for many images. To me it seems a slower option because a lot of initial time is spend selecting the subject then looking for faces before applying the adjustments. Once done it is very similar to to the default standard adjustments.

My anxiety is that this suggests a future path where PhotoAI replaces the individual plugins. If that is going to be the case it will need some better manual control options. While it is possible to run PhotoAI to remove noise, save it to a layer and run it again and manually deselect noise reduction and apply sharpening, there is only the choice between removing Lens blur or Motion blur (with no adjustments to the models which is available in the individual Sharpen AI plugin). Each time you run Photo AI it spends time selecting the subject and looking for faces so multiple trips wastes time.

Having a preferences control to disable Autopilot as a default and to include more of the AI models for Noise reduction and Sharpening and a comparison preview would address this issue and make it a realistic replacement product. While a one click solution can be tempting and a selling point to maximise a market, it risks alienating experienced photographers who prioritise quality and control over convenience. At this stage if you want maximal control I would have to recommend the Topaz Image Quality Bundle over Photo AI if you are investing in Topaz plugins. If you are not comfortable in Photoshop and layers, Topaz Photo AI provides a very capable one click solution that will improve most images. Topaz PhotoAI is currently available at a discounted launch price of US$159 ($40 off).

One caveat to my comments. All of my testing has been relation to processing bird images. I suspect that for people photography the AI driven subject and face selection would be more useful than I have found.
