RoverLog receiving contacts to log from WSJT-X

I'm wondering if this group is active, and if there is any way to have FT-8 contacts on my laptop automatically log into RoverLog on my laptop.  I have tried other logging programs like N1MM, but none seem to work well on VHF.

The group still exists, at least. How active, I'm not sure, RoverLog seems to be a niche within a niche within a niche. It's still the best rover logging software I've used, though.

I am unsure if FT-8 contacts can automatically show up in RoverLog, but this is functionality I would also be interested in.

Hi Detrick and David,

Thanks for the e-mails.  David contacted me via FB messenger to discuss, and graciously pointed me to some libraries that might help me add this functionality to RL.  I'll work on it when I get some time, hopefully this weekend.  I would love to get this finished in plenty of time for the June contest.

Guys,

I got started.

I have Wireshark seeing the messages from WSJT-X now.  See the screenshot below.

It looks like what I would expect based on skimming the WSJT-X documentation.

I will probably write a little stand-alone grabber to get started, then work on integrating into RL.
