The Ukrainian naval command issued a contradictory report that on 14 March 2014, the ship encountered a Russian naval group attempting to enter or having entered Ukrainian territorial waters. As Hetman Sahaidachny approached the group, they withdrew.[11] In September 2014, the frigate entered Odesa to undergo repairs.[12] In May 2017, she suffered an engine failure shortly after undergoing repairs.[citation needed] In July 2018 she participated in the Sea Breeze 2018 multinational exercises.[13]

There were photographic materials confirming the flooding of the flagship of the Naval Forces of Ukraine frigate F 130 by its own crew in Nikolaev "Hetman Sagaidachny" project 11351. The ship, which arrived in Nikolaev in July 2021 to undergo repairs, was sunk near the wall of the former Black Sea Shipyard on February 24, 2022, on the first day of the Russian special operation in Ukraine.

At the end of 2021, the Ukrainian State Enterprise "Experimental Design Center of Shipbuilding" (part of the state concern "Ukroboronprom") signed a state contract with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to carry out a complex of repair and modernization works on the flagship of the Ukrainian Navy frigate "Hetman Sagaidachny". In 2021, according to the Passport of the budget program for the development of the Ukrainian Navy, it was planned to allocate UAH 436 million for the repair and modernization of the Hetman Sagaidachny. The work was to be carried out at the shipbuilding and ship repair plant "Nibulon" (the former plant "Liman") in Nikolaev, where "Hetman Sagaidachny" arrived from Odessa on July 4, 2021. Prior to that, the ship was defended for a long time in Odessa at the Ukrainian Navy base in the Practical Harbor. However, after arriving in Nikolaev, repair work on the ship was never started, and the "Hetman Sagaidachny" was "temporarily" moored at the wall of the virtually inactive former Black Sea Shipyard, where it eventually found its end.

In the winter of 2013-2014, the ship performed anti-piracy tasks in the Gulf of Aden, which allowed it to avoid capture during the annexation of Crimea and Sevavstopol to Russia, and on March 5, 2014, the Hetman Sagaidachny arrived in Odessa, where it was based in the future. Since 2015, the ship, which was already in poor technical condition, rarely went to sea and since the spring of 2018, it was actually defended in Odessa, having made the only trip to sea for combat training on May 3, 2020. On July 3-4, 2021, he made his last transition to Nikolaev for repairs.

We have also considered the real assumptions and limitations while repairing the mentioned means, expansion of algorithms of single and group defects search.
