API not working?

I'm attempting to access the API data, and the only return I can get is for a list of all available transit agencies, and nothing else (any other input gives me '500 Internal Server Error'). Is something not working, or am I doing something wrong? 

My only input that works is "http://api.routeshout.com/v1/rs.agencies.getList?key=<<my API key>>"

When I try "http://api.routeshout.com/v1/rs.routes.getList?key=<<my API key>>&agency=uga" I just get the error 500.

It looks like I figured that out, requests need quotes to go through. Now i'm having trouble because i'm getting empty returns that simply contain "{"status":"ok","meta":{"limit":null,"total":-1,"offset":0,"route":null},"response":[]}" from the getListByTrip function. 

Am I doing something wrong? I am sending the request just like the online example shows.
