This is my first campaign for Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm. I love campaign from blizzard with Kerrigan, coz it's my favourite hero so i got idea to make my own zerg campaign with custom story. But then i got two ideas. Combine C&C 3 and Starcraft 2 together and make one race with this system. After week of making system, units, buildings and ideas + preparing campaign with story i made race called Brood with main hero Kelysa (that's broodmother).
Kelysa, first broodmother unbound, bound to the will of no one. Under her reign, her brood differentiated itself from the zerg into the so called tier 3 evolution. She is obsessed by collecting zerg and hybrid essences to create her ultimate weapon to conquer galaxy. Her will is very powerful and she destroy everything in her path.
"Brood's Wrath" is a 5 mission campaign with a lot of action, nice gameplay, custom system, custom units, heroes, structures and building system. Featuring high-quality game, 2 difficulty levels, a lot of different units. Each unit is strong against something else (Infantry, Armored, Air, Massive, Structure)
It started at Char before Kerrigan's return. One broodmother from many called Kelysa started her own evolution of zerg race. She was trying to combine many essences, zerg units, structures of DNA until she found the way how to move zergs to another levels. She upgraded zerg DNA and made drones more useful, created new zerg Town Hall which can morph multiple buildings instead of drones. Now her obsession is too strong, more than herself. She want to move zerg evolution higher than is now. She wants to combine hybrid and zerg essence from two different sources to create Ultimate weapon which can help her to conquer every plant in this galaxy.
Hi there, I am playing right now this campaing, and I liking it. Can I translate this to spanish for iberoamerican players? Later we can made establish when and where publish it. Do you like? Thanks for your awesome work!
For anyone wondering, installation is just like most other campaigns. When you extract the .zip file, just drag the entire "Brood's Wrath" folder into your Maps directory under the parent Starcraft folder and everything should work either from the launcher or individual maps.
I have not played your campaign, but I know of your skills from another campaign you were working on. Looking forward to it all!! Is it cool to list your campaign on the Custom Campaign Initiative Site of Sc2Mapster?
1. Camera is high because of system.2. The violet color on Kelysa it shows you like "she is the queen, hero". Has different team color.3. The boss fight, i will fix that :D4. Why kelysa red screen, its not kerrigan or someone like that, there is no hero panel. I can just add when kelysa is attacked, alert :D5. The Marr death, i will fix that but it is blizzard fault.6. Disable alerts7. I will add ambush with void rays.8. The balls from beam are randomly, just for effect on random place with 150 damage.
and i cant use red boss bar coz it will be on left with with objectives.. It is bugged if i dont have hero panel. I will try do protoss campaign very amazing with every effects. But i'm trying this campaign too.
Last mission will have gameplay time over 20 minutes coz of defend and then it depends on you coz you will play with op units. Then end :D But i'm editing now mission 1,2,3 tooltip of shockwave and small bugs. And skip cinematics. But skip cinematics are a waste of time coz my cinematic has max duration 1 minute (just in mission 3) and if you will defeat from any mission in my campaign. thats bad then :D
@Narudek: Go"+ I will decrease of units in mission 1 for dominion forces but i cant make units powerful. Coz from mission 3 its too easy kill enemies and from mission 4 you have avaible brood guardians and they are too op when you have horde of them so."
StarCraft: Brood War is the sequel to StarCraft. This expansion pack added to the original game new units to each race. For the terran race the Valkyrie and medic were added. For the protoss race, the dark templar, dark archon and Corsair were added. For the zerg race, the lurker and devourer were added.[1]
With the death of the Overmind and multiple cerebrates, the zerg ran rampant and leaderless across Aiur, homeworld of the protoss, slaughtering everything in their path. The protoss leadership, known as the Conclave, was eradicated along with 70% of the protoss population.[1]
Having succeeded in overthrowing the corrupt Terran Confederacy, Arcturus Mengsk established the Terran Dominion and crowned himself Emperor. The other terran factions quickly joined the Dominion in hopes that Mengsk would protect them from the alien menace. While the protoss and zerg continued to battle on Aiur, Mengsk took steps to consolidate power. With the aid of General Edmund Duke, Emperor Mengsk assimilated most of the remaining Confederate forces into his own ranks. Having finally become the supreme terran power in the sector, Mengsk wondered what had happened to his former lieutenant, Sarah Kerrigan, the Zerg Queen of Blades.[1]
The United Powers League, based on Earth, had been watching and recording the Koprulu Sector terrans since their exile. The UPL saw no reason to interfere in the Koprulu Sector until they became aware of the existence of the protoss and zerg.
The UPL had never made contact with any alien species before, and panic spread throughout the UPL, which feared alien invasion of Earth. The fear even brought the few Earth nations not under the command of the UPL into its fold. The organization changed its name to the United Earth Directorate and took on a militant stance towards the aliens.
After monitoring the protoss and zerg for several months, the UED believed they had discerned their strengths and weaknesses. The UED collected an Expeditionary Force, whose purpose was to conquer the entire Koprulu Sector. It was led by Admiral Gerard DuGalle and his friend, Vice Admiral Alexei Stukov. They were given orders to take control of the zerg and use them to pacify protoss activity in the Koprulu Sector.[1]
The Brood War got its name from an effective "civil war" among the zerg. The Zerg Broods split into a Renegade Zerg faction under the control of Daggoth, while the the Queen of Blades vied with him for control of the zerg,[3] and both the protoss and the terrans would be drawn into this conflict.
The game opened with a few terrans in a trench, defending themselves from a bloody zerg assault. A battlecruiser which appeared overhead was hailed as promised air support, though the ship did not open fire on the zerg forces.
In the battlecruiser, the Aleksander, "Morituri te salutant" (Latin: "Those about to die salute you") plays on a vintage phonograph while two terrans speak. The bald man is Admiral Gerard DuGalle, and the slightly younger man smoking a cigar is Vice Admiral Alexei Stukov.
DuGalle demanded Stukov watch the ongoing massacre of the terrans. Stukov said he has seen tapes of zerg already, but DuGalle insisted he watch the battle with his own eyes to fully understand the power of the zerg. As the zerg began to overrun the colony, a UED crew member asked if they should intervene to save the remaining terrans; DuGalle declined and ordered the battlecruiser to leave the area.
Some of the information appears to have been out of date. No conspiracy was revealed in Mengsk's Dominion, although this may have been a reference to the low-ranked Lieutenant Samir Duran, formerly of Alpha Squadron.
I would rate the Brood Brothers Infantry Squad as Competitive. They are a really cheap troops choice, which has a lot of benefits in the army; increased board control, easily filling out detachments for CP, and cheap ablative wounds for your support characters.
The Brood Brothers Infantry Squad has many advantages for a Genestealer Cults army. They are a very cheap Troops choices, coming in at only 40 pts for a unit of 10. This makes them great for filling up the Troops slots in detachments for minimal cost to access more CP.
The Genestealer Cults has access to a wide number of useful support characters that are essential for getting the most out of the army. One of the limitations of the force is that you cannot take more than one of each character in a single detachment. This means that in order to take multiples of each character, you will need more than one detachment. For HQ units, you could use a Supreme Command Detachment to take up to three additional characters. However, you could also take a Battalion filled with Brood Brothers Infantry Squads for only an extra 120 pts. This not only gives you an extra 30 bodies for board control, screening or objective holding, but gives you an extra 4CP to use in your army, which is a nice bonus for a CP-hungry force such as the Genestealer Cults.
I would tend to keep the Brood Brothers squad as cheap as possible, not going for many, if any upgrades to the unit. The only one I would really consider is the Mortar, allowing you to still add a little firepower to the force while hiding the unit out of line of sight.
There are some disadvantages to the Brood Brother Infantry Squad. As Brood Brothers, they do not gain access to any Cult Creeds in the army. Some of these would be useful to help with their durability or contribute to their effectiveness on the battlefield. Also, as they lack the keyword, they do not gain the benefit of many abilities or stratagems that can be employed for other units in the army. However, they do get access to Lurk in the Shadows, which is great for keeping your unit from being targeted by enemy firepower, if for example you need them to survive to hold an objective.
One other option to consider for the Brood Brothers is that you can take an Astra Militarum Detachment to add to your Genestealer Cults army as a Brood Brothers Detachment. Although you only get half the number of command points for such a Detachment, there are many other bonuses to using them in your force.
