I've actually been fiddling around with Rouse quite a bit lately. I'm
trying to get the fit and finish to feel good. There's any number of
web browsing aspects still yet to implement (presenting a javascript
alert when WebKit tells you to, and so on), but there's a lot of UI
and differentiating work to be done too, and I'm, uh, preponing some
of that to be able to get through coding Rouse at all. Life is very
busy around me and I need an outlet.
Here's a good example. (This is very far from all I've done since I
last posted.) I'm doing my own take of the "this tab has finished
loading while you were in the background" thing from OmniWeb. I just
added a little something that I'm not quite sure about, but that could
work: http://wootest.net/rouse-unseen.m4v

That's something I miss from OmniWeb (now a full-time Safari user). I like what you've done there -- it's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

Just to be clear, since everyone seems to miss what I'm really
pointing at; I tweaked it a bit more to be better visible:
http://wootest.net/rouse-unseen2.m4v . And wait around for it. I can
show a green bar in a screenshot. There's a reason that was a video.
Maybe you saw it already, but it wasn't clear.
Making a note here,
