Predator V-Twin motor replacement in a L600

I have just been accepted in this group. Thank you very much. My L600 Onan engine is on it's last leg. No power and spewing oil out  of the exhaust. I have read on here that some of you have repowered theirs with the Predator 22hp V-Twin engine. I have got a lot of info on other posts, but I hoping that any Rounder owners can give me details on how well it fit in the opening, what if any changes had to be done to make it fit. Also, if you are happy with the results and overall performance after doing it. One more favor I would like to request, if possible; is some pictures of the install and the finished product. If anyone has any available that they would be willing to share with me, I would be very grateful.  Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to participating  in this group in the future.

Hey I recognize that build !! So far the machine is running great ! Shes a little cold blooded but once warmed up she's good to go , I'd be happy to answer any questions that you have also Iv been meaning to try and post some more pictures of it but she's covered up at the moment due to the rain !

just  got a rounder L7000 with a bad 18 hp onan  out of a barn same thing found out the onan rotates cw the 22 hp predator rotates ccw might have to switch the drive hydro pump lines around and the lift /tilt pump lines also i think the pumps are bio directional not shure??if u find out befor i do please let me know i m going to b doing the same swap this spring.

86fubar what did you do for a pulley? The Predator has a 1inch shaft and the Onan has a 1 1/8 inch crankshaft?

So ... Does the Predator work ok even though it turn CCW?  Are any changes required to make it work correctly?  I am nearing the decision to replace the onan on my L600 and I know the Predator is used in a lot of engine replacements, especially lawn mowers.

all of these engines turn in the same direction, they just sit in the engine bay backwards therefore they all appear to turn backwards when looking at it backwards.
