woodfire symposium in Pittsburgh

Hello,

A wood-fire ceramic symposium will be happening in Pittsburgh from July 8-24.  Artists from Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Missouri, North Carolina, Indiana, and Pennsylvania will be creating new work using wheel throwing, handbuilding, and sculpting techniques in clay. Public demonstrations and lectures by the artists will happen in Room 404 Antonian Hall at Carlow University on July 12 and 13 between 9 am and 5 pm. Cost to attend the lectures is $50 for one day or $75 for both days. An artist reception will be held at Union Project THIS MONDAY, July 13 from 5-8 pm. 
 
Invited artists will load and fire the Union Project/Laurelville Wood Kiln in Mt. Pleasant, PA from July 14-19. Cost to observe/attend the loading and firing is $50 or free with paid attendance to the demonstration days.
