some of my go-to faves:
"headbands". you make cards with words on them (this is good because you can pick words that have to do with your subject matter. Each person in the gorup wears a card on their head and has to figure out what it is by asking others in the group questions. see this amazing Office clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X50HK5hWm4M&p=2CC868851495AC07&playnext=1&index=41

This was my specialty at camp. here are just a few.

human knot always works. stand in a circle, everyone cross their hands, then grab hands of two different people in circle NOT next to you. now untangle huge human knot without letting go of hands.

or tell them to arrange themselves in a single file line according to birthday without speaking.

or do a lap sit. everyone must stand in a circle, but not facing the middle, as if they are standing behind the person in front of them.... then they have to come in so tight that each person is sitting on the person behind them's lap and no one in the circle falls.

if you have space outdoors, do a screaming run. have a starting line, tell everyone to inhale, then scream, and run as far as they can while screaming in one breath. the one who runs/screams the farthest wins.

can also do a small scavenger hunt within the group, i.e. "find someone who has more than 5 piercings, find someone who has traveled 9 or more countries, find someone who has more than 2 siblings, etc etc."
