e-Bill and Payment from TNEB

Dear Members,

 

Our Google Discussion Group is currently being used to communicate Rotary information to our members.

 

We have now taken an initiative to use the forum to communicate e-governance initiatives of the government departments and other service providers to the Group members. This information wil be useful to our members in their day to day activities.

 

We shall be sending out an email every week on one e-governance initiative.

 

Here is our first communication on TNEB's e-Payment facility.

 

The TamilNadu Electricity Board now offers the following facilities

 

You can pay your bill online; and avoid standing in queues - See attached screenshot

You can view your bills along with detailed meter readings since 2007 - See attached screenshot

You can add multiple service numbers to a single login.

 

We have attached 2 screenshots of a customer's bill details. The figures on the screenshots have been blocked to respect customer privacy.

 

Registration Process

 

1. Visit the website : www.tneb.in

2. Click on "Online Payment for Electricity Bills for LT customers all over TamilNadu"

3. Sleect your Service Area

4. Once you enter your 9 digit Service Connection, the website will automatically fetch your connection details.

5. You will receive a confirmation email on your registered mail id.
