e-initiative - Online Registration of Vehicles, Application for Licence

In our 3rd edition of our continuous series on e-Governance, we focus on the e-initiatives of the Government of TamilNadu.

 

The Transport Department of Tamilnadu has launched a series of online initiatives

You can apply for Learners Licence and Driving Licence online. It is similar to the Online Passport Application Process, wherein you can schedule an online appointment.

There is an exclusive secured login for Banks and Financial Institutions, who hypothecate vehicles.

 

More than 50 forms concerning Registrations, Licence Issue and Renewal, Fitness Certificates, Conductor Licence, .....etc, are now downloadable from the website.
