Dear President Sophie,
Please note that we have 5 confirmed individuals who are willing to go for the DISCON conference next month but would like sponsorship where necessary.
During our last board meeting, we suggested sponsorship of 2 individuals only but perhaps if we opt for the bus option we could afford to send more than 2 (there is one executive bus for MK 18,000 per person as advised by Rtn Rachel). The Rotaractors were also encouraged after meeting with DGN Dean over PETS session to attend and hence their request for at least 5 to attend.
I feel these members including the President of Rotaract are very dedicated and are vibrant individuals who shall benefit from the trip as well as get to see what we as Rotarians are all about.
I await your advice so we may plan accordingly and advise the members of Rotaract what our final decision is.

Thank you for your feedback and hope for your quick recovery.
We shall definitely include the matter at our next board meeting and hope to come to a conclusion so I may inform the Rotaractor’s. In the last board meeting held this month, there was mention of sponsorship hence my query as per below. Nonetheless, I believe we can finalise by the next board meeting for sure.

I am sorry it has taken me this long to respond to your email. I have been bed ridden from Wesdesday walking with clutches because of a pinched nerve.
You are aware that registration alone is US $ 250 + transport + accomodation of which the figures are not clear. To sponser 5, I assume you are looking at transport alone? Otherwise it would be mote feasible if the Club was looking at one Interact and one Rotaract. The next DISCON is in Malawi. Your Committee may wish to revisit this decision in light of the costs involved.
However you may widh to have the item included at the next Boardmeeting for members to examine it further.
