>>We are starting a movement that will make abuse less of a taboo .when abuse becomes less of a taboo ,the abuser looses the power to threaten the victim .

>> Victims find it easier to ask and reach out for help if they realize that there is no taboo associated to abuse .if they realize that there are people to help .

>> Why should "I" do this -
>> We can pretend that it is not our problem .pretend that we can't comprehend the trauma the child must be going through .

>> Can I really make a difference , without causing paranoia-
>> Yes ,that is the whole intention to breaking your silence .talk to children about body safety .be open with them ,so that they are comfortable with you .tell them about body safety rules just as comfortably as you would tell them about traffic rules .
