Draft Byelaws

Dear Beach Rotarians,

After a considerable amount of pressure by Raghavettan to make me shed my laziness, I have made a draft of the byelaws for Rotary Beach.It appears that in the near quarter century that this club has been functioning, we have only had a club constitution and never a byelaw!

The draft is based on the Recommended Rotary Club Byelaws in the Manual of Procedure that PDG Darius was kind enough to send me at least three weeks ago. 

I have adapted it as best as I could to suit the needs of Beach, but I am sure that there are several changes and additions required. 

Requesting all of you for your inputs. In the alternative, it can be discussed threadbare at one of our meetings and all necessary modifications made.

Trust members have gone through the draft Bylaws sent by Srinath Girish.

Article 6 - Fees and Dues

3;-Admission fees shall be 15000/-

4.Annual fees will be 22000/-

5.Oversears members shall pay 50% of the of the Club Annual dues

to add - Spouse members need not pay admission fees and have to pay 7500 as annual dues

5) To add...Charter Members over seas on long leave will pay Rotary International dues & Rotary News as Annual dues.

We did offer this to Charter members.

That is the reason I said we amended the  byelaw & recorded in minutes.

We made this rule for Dinky.

Dear Beach Rotarians,

Based on the discussions we had yesterday at the Zoom Meeting, I have made necessary alterations to the draft byelaws. 

Please pay special attention to 1) the definitions clause, where I have included the definitions of Honorary, Overseas and Spouse Members 2) the dues clause, where I have added the details of the amounts to be paid and 3) the new clause regarding termination & disciplinary action.
