Dan,
I received this email yesterday.  Although, it seems somewhat late for us to consider, I still thought I should share this information.
Regards,
Kusum

Subject: Last Chance for ARYLA!

Dear Kusum

In March I sent out an email asking for clubs to think about sponsoring a 19 to 29 year old for New England Advanced RYLA with a preference for 21-25 year olds. District 7930 will be paying 1/2 the tuition for up to 10 young people. This is an AWESOME opportunity for you to honor that young person who has done so much for your club and community!! Currently 7 of 10 positions are filled with truly deserving young adults. That means we have 3 spots open still!!

A little about ARYLA

From July 16 to July 20,2014, New England Advanced RYLA will once again be held at the Dolce Norwalk Hotel and Conference Center in Norwalk Connecticut (www.dolcenorwalk.com). This is the third time this conference has been held and it promises to be the best ever!
New England Advanced RYLA (ARYLA)  is a professional and personal leadership development course designed for ages 19 to 29. Passion, Purpose and Action is the motto. ARYLA is for a new generation of change makers.  ARYLA develops young adults for the modern day workforce by focusing on professional leadership skills. It develops problem-solving, public speaking and presenting skills. ARYLA also provides leadership roundtables and team building exercises. This conference strongly encourages attendees to look at their decisions and goals in a whole new light.  It wake them up to the endless possibilities life has to offer.
The cost of the course is $750 per person, with the District paying 1/2 and the sponsoring Rotary Club paying the rest. This is an excellent opportunity for your club to continue the wonderful work you have done sponsoring  EarlyActors, InterActors, RotarActors, RYLArians and Youth Exchange by supporting their leadership development at this important age. Students just graduating from college make excellent candidates for this program which takes them from the academic life to the work world by focusing on the skills and service that make a great Rotarian!
It is our intention to work with the 10 chosen candidates, once they have graduated from ARYLA, to help them form their own club and continue their service and the work of Rotary.

If you are interested in how this program will work, or know of a good candidate that your club would like to sponsor, please contact District Youth Service Chair Jim Babbin SOON at jim...@verizon.net or ryla...@yahoo.com. You and your "super" youth will be forever grateful that you did!
