questions about the bench

I hope everyone is doing well.

The Arlington Rotary Club is thinking about buying a bench for a small area that the town is letting them maintain as a memorial.  They know that the Belmont club bought a bench a while ago, and hand some questions about it:

- Where did we buy it from?  Were we satisfied with the quality, etc?

- How well is the bench holding up?

- Does anyone have photos of the bench they can show their club?

Good to hear from you! Are you a member of Arlington Rotary now?

Actually, there are two benches, one in Belmont Center and one in the green island on Payson Street right outside Cushing Square opposite the Methodist Church.  We had a ground breaking ceremony at the Cushing Square bench site in 2003 or 2004.  Sandy got it through one of the Rotary catalogues.  The Cushing Square bench got very high marks from the community.  Sandy got letters of gratitude from people in the community for the Cushing Square one.

I haven't checked it, but whoever is looking into it can go by and see for themselves.

I don't know about existing photos, but whoever goes to check it out can take a photo.

yep but the Town ordered them for me and installed them if I remember correctly....Mike Santoro I think was in charge....

Yes, I'm going to the Arlington meetings now.  They're a great club, but I feel like an outsider when I'm listening to the scuttlebutt of another town.  (they don't seem interested in the Belmont override vote at all...  They've got their own issues to talk about)
