NEW GENERATIONS INTERACT - ROTARACT - RYLA Rotary International June 2013 Interactors recognized in The Rotarian’s photo contest Photo by Caroline Kim and David Mendoza, Interact Club of Frontier High School, Bakersfield, California, USA Photojournalist Carol Guzy, winner of four Pulitzer Prizes, served as judge for The Rotarian’s 2013 photo contest. She gave an honorable mention to the photo above, taken by two Interactors in California: “This enchanting image has a wonderful combination of rough hands handling the tiny ladybug with such tenderness. Update Rotaract and Interact club information by 30 June Rotaractors from the Rotaract Club of Noale dei Tempesta, Italy, hard at work updating their member data for 2013-14 Make sure that the Rotaract and Interact clubs in your area stay connected to the global network of Rotary by submitting 2013-14 contact information by 30 June. Rotaract clubs can find update instructions for club presidents who are already registered in Member Access and for presidents who are not yet registered. Interact clubs can use this form to report their 2013-14 Interact club president or adviser. Even if the contact has not changed, we still need each club to confirm its information A new Rotary.org is coming soon! RYLA Conference in North America sponsored by District 7620 Washington, D.C. 2-7 July This leadership conference will bring together 18- to 30-year-olds, including Rotaractors and former Rotary Youth Exchange students, Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholars, and Rotary Peace Fellows. Baia Mare TEAM 2013 Rotaract Model United Nations Baia Mare, Romania 21-25 August This locally planned event is being hosted by the Baia Mare TEAM Rotaract Club. Participants that require a visa must apply by 30 June. 10th Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference (APRRC) Kaohsiung, Taiwan 7-10 September Rotaractors from across the Asia Pacific region are invited to attend this event, which will promote leadership, teamwork, and cross-cultural connections. District 3010 Rotaract Environment Summit and Educational Trip (R.E.S.E.T. ’13) New Delhi, India 2-13 October Rotaractors will gather to discuss environmental issues, exchange ideas on possible solutions, and experience Indian culture.
