Eradicating polio in Africa Thousands of health workers and volunteers mobilized public support for polio eradication and immunized children against the disease during recent National Immunization Days in Côte d’lvoire. Volunteers distributed vitamin A supplements and de-worming tablets to improve public health, which is another objective in the polio endgame strategy.
