Rotary Convention Discounted Registration Savings End on March 31st 2017
This is the time when Atlanta Convention Registration gets very serious.
Right now, there are appx 40,000 Rotarians registered for the 2017 Rotary International Convention in Atlanta. Based on that number, which is six times bigger than any this far out in the past, the Centennial Celebration of the Rotary International Foundation at the 2017 Convention could set an all-time record for Rotary Convention attendance. That is the best statement we can make in support of the great work done by Rotarians worldwide. This is our party but it also is when our leaders come together and recognize that “service above self” is far more than a few nicely chosen words.
If you haven’t registered, register now.
There will be plenty to do and plenty of ways to celebrate. Go to www.rotaryconvention2017.org and check out all the Host Organization Committee events that have been arranged to make the convention more enjoyable than ever.
These include the giant Saturday night “Blue Jeans and Bluegrass” festival in Centennial Olympic Park, right across the street from the Georgia World Congress Center and in the heart of Atlanta’s entertainment district. There will be plenty of entertainment, headlined by Grammy Award winning artist Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder - lots of food options and lots of fun. If you have never tried Mountain Clogging, you will get your chance.
Each day and each night there are special events – dinners at the College Football Hall of Fame and the World of Coca-Cola, a festive Centennial Celebration Block Party, a 3K Peach Run/ Walk, a Candle Lighting to show Rotarian unity against slavery. A special Strike Out Polio Night at the Braves is in the works for the Thursday evening before the start of the convention.
There are also host hospitality events being put on my local Rotary Clubs in the Atlanta area.

There is no doubt that this will be the greatest Rotary International Convention ever. Hartsfield Jackson International Airport makes the City of Atlanta more accessible to the world than any past convention, and the location of the Georgia World Congress Center is the most convenient to hotels and activities ever. No long bus rides.
Register before the price goes up. You will love what you experience when you come to Atlanta. Great fellowship with Rotarians, great speakers and programs, fun events, and the best House of Friendship of any convention.
