Congratulations on posting your project on Rotary Ideas!

Our goal is to provide you with any support you need to manage your service project, so we want to take this opportunity to share a few best practices to help your service project find the resources it needs through Rotary Ideas. As with any other crowdsourcing or crowdfunding site, the success of your project relies heavily on your taking an active role in sharing your project page with as many people as possible. Casting a wide net and having a larger audience improves your chances of receiving more donations. We recommend sharing the link to your project through social media channels like Facebook or Twitter, in emails, newsletters, and on your club or district website. Please also encourage club members to do the same, and remember that the website itself is available to the public, allowing Rotarians and non-Rotarians alike to make a donation.

In addition, please check your project page regularly to see details about any contributions you’ve received. Click the “Contributions” tab directly under your project photo to see your contributors’ names and the ‘Project Details’ button for their email addresses. We encourage you to contact your donors promptly, not only to thank them, but also to coordinate with them about partnering, volunteering, or sending materials. Doing so is the only way to ensure you will get the resources you need, as this part of the process is not automated.
