Dear friend in Rotary,
It is that time of the year when I write to you about LEAD – our District Leadership Seminar! After 4 consecutive years of some outstanding and memorable sessions, LEAD is back again for this year. LEAD 2K15 is on Sunday, November 15th, 2015 at Hotel Marriott, near Lulu Mall, Edapally, Cochin.
Like in the earlier editions, this year too we have lined up some excellent speakers for you to make LEAD 2K15 even better than the best. The program will start at 9:30 in the morning with the inaugural session. The event will be inaugurated by Hon’ Judge of Kerala High Court Justice Dama Sheshadri Naidu and our District Governor Rtn. Kamlesh Raheja & District Trainer Rtn. V Rajkumar will be present to set the tone. Chief Guest of the opening session is Past Rotary International Director Rtn. Shekhar Mehta and he will speak on the topic ‘Leadership in changing times’. As you must be aware of, he is an excellent speaker and an authority on various Rotary subjects.
We have 2 Leadership enrichment sessions after the inaugural session. The speaker for the 1st session will be Shri. Loknath Behera IPS. He talks on a topic titled ‘Let’s talk leadership’. I am sure, this will be a very interesting speech and Mr. Behera is a very impressive orator. The 2nd session to follow will see a very special keynote speaker – Ms. Uma Parvathy the daughter of our own DGE Dr Prakash Chandran. She heads an organization in Delhi called Leaders for Tomorrow and is a very unique leader who has been invited for chats with the likes of former Indian President Shri. Abdul Kalam, Shri Arvind Kejriwal etc. Infact she was invited as a speaker at the Rotary South Asia Literacy Summit 2015 at Pune and it is an irony that we have not heard this young lady in our District yet. She will enrich us on the topic – ‘Creating Million Change Makers thru Rotary’.
The Finale of LEAD is planned as usual as a workshop, run by an internationally acclaimed speaker and motivator Mr. Santhosh Babu. He will take the session on a topic aptly titled as ‘The inner game of Leadership!’. I can guarantee you that his would be a very useful talk for all of us.
The whole program will end at 1:30 pm with lunch and fellowship. The registration charges including lunch will be Rs. 750 per delegate. Kindly note that this is a highly subsidized rate taking into account the charges at the Marriott Hotel and we would appreciate advance registrations to help us make perfect arrangements for a great seminar. Clubs registering for 10 members can get an early bird rate of Rs. 6500/- only for the 10 delegates if you make the payment strictly before 12th November. A detailed brochure with agenda is attached herewith.
