Project Title “Student Reporter”
Icqresults has initiated a project of establishing a far reaching network of volunteers who will function as journalists and report on the most recent happenings within the student community of their areas. This project titled “Student Reporter” is aimed at enabling students with the power to create and utilize their own media for publication of all that they think is important. Icqresults.com will function as the media that they will use as their own. This project is aimed towards serving the various requirements of the student community considering their need for more information to make the right career decisions,
Why Rotaract?
After having considered various options for the successful implementation of this project, we have come to the decision that the dynamic youngsters of Rotaract would be the best people to undertake this project and take it upon themselves to volunteer their services towards providing the vast student community with much needed information on the education front. We are extremely confident that this project will provide young Rotaractors with an opportunity to utilize their professionalism and emerge as strong community leaders.
The Process
Initially the Rotaract president will identify and appoint one “Student Reporter” to represent each educational institution (colleges, polytechnics, etc) in your region.
Information about the appointed “Student Reporters” will be forwarded to us in the attached template. The details required are:
· Name of the reporter
· Full address
· Phone No
· E Mail id (This will be used as his/her user name for logging into our portal)
· Name of the institution(s) covered with full address
· Educational qualification or level currently pursuing
· Year of completion of current studies
The above information will be forward to student...@icqresults.com. We will create a unique account for each “Student Reporter” and this user name and password will be sent to their email Id. This will give you the status of an authorized “Student Reporter” of icqresults.
Each of these appointed persons will be given the capability to publish all the news and articles from the institutions they are covering, on icqresults
The areas on the portal that the “Student Reporter” can utilize are:
News: News coverage of happenings & developments within and outside the institutions including Rotaract.
Articles: Achievements of students & research topics made by lecturers of the college can be published
Events: Major events such as symposiums, technical meets, Inter college competitions, College competitions, sports events can be highlighted.
Flash News: Messages of prime importance can be flashed on the web site
Web Cast: Video footage of important events and happenings can be sent to us for broadcasting on our site every Friday evening.
Recognition
“Student Reporters” will be encouraged to perform to their full potential by giving them an opportunity to maximize their contribution to the portal. To recognize the contribution they make icqresults will award the most active participants on an annual (every March) basis with commendations and rewards.
