I bought a Cisco RV320 dual-WAN Gigabit VPN router that keeps freezing after about 12 hours or so of use. On the System Summary page, it shows that it is a RV320-K9 v03, firmware version 1.3.2.02. I have several other Cisco RV320s that work perfectly. They are RV320-K09 v04, firmware version 1.3.1.12. I downloaded and attempted to apply the 1.3.1.12 firmware to the V03 router, but after the reboot, it still showed v03, 1.3.2.02.
I upgraded the firmware on my Cisco RV320 Dual Gigabit WAN VPN Router to version 1.4.2.17 found here -dual-gigabit-wan-vpn-router/model.html#tab-downloads. The firmware hadn't been upgraded for many years, possibly up to 7, and me being a new hire decided to upgrade it. I created a backup of the router before I did the upgrade as well. The router does not support WiFi connections, only direct Ethernet connections.
I was on version 1.4.2 of the firmware, and the rep recommended downgrading to the 1.3.2 version as it's more stable. This was step 1. After doing so, it removed all configurations for my router, as it warns you it will if you downgrade the firmware.
Just checking to see if you found a resolution to this issue. I recently purchased the RV325 and had issues with the bad certificate on the router login page. After resetting to the factory defaults, I upgraded the firmware to 1.5.1.05 and now when I go to the login page, I get the 502 bad gateway message like yourself. Hope someone finds this and gives a solution. I have already purchased another router, and I think this one is going back to Amazon with a bad review!
I figured out a solution! If you are receiving the 502 bad gateway message and unable to reach the router GUI at 192.168.1.1, you have to flash the firmware. A factory reset will not get you back in to the router. The only way I could accomplish this was to use TFTP program _download.html.
Sorry the router is having issues. Since the diag light is steady on now, it appears the device is having a problem booting up. The firmware upgrade may have failed and caused an incomplete firmware installed. I would try a 30-30-30 reset and then give it about 15 minutes to come up. If it does not come up, you would want to return this to your place of purchase to get a refund or exchange. If it is past the 30 days, the SBSC can perform an RMA for you. To do the 30-30-30, with the device powered on, hold the reset button in for 30 seconds. While still holding the reset button in, power off the unit for 30 seconds, keep the reset button pressed. then keep the reset button pressed and power it on and keep the button pressed for another 30 seconds. Release and give the unit about 15 seconds to recover. If this fails and you need an RMA, please call 1-866-606-1866 and open a case with the SBSC. Thanks rleffew01.
I just wanted to thank you for this solution. -business-routers/rv325-won-t-boot/m-p/2766799#M30244. I used it to get into my RV325 after a self-signed certificate sabotaged the login to the admin management utility. After downgrading to an earlier firmware (RV32X_v1.3.1.12_20160427-code.bin) I gained access to the management utility and deleted my self-signed certificate. Then I upgraded to the latest firmware and logged in without any problems. While your solution was used for a different problem, it solved a problem that I've been seeing all over the forums. Thanks Again,
There are two 10/100/1000 WAN and four 10/100/1000 LAN ports. One of the WAN ports can be configured as either WAN or DMZ. There are two USB 2.0 ports, one on the side, the other on the back, which are for 3G/4G modems and/or loading firmware from a flash drive. The router does not support USB storage or printer sharing
At the beginning of this review, I listed prices for the RVxxx series routers. Among dual-WAN Cisco RVxxx routers, the RV320 costs just $6 to $18 more than the older and slower RV042G and RV042v3, so the price is pretty reasonable. The RV320 comes with a limited lifetime warranty, as do all Cisco RV series routers. And the RV320 has no monthly licensing fees, which is good.
Hvis din organisation er afhængig af Ciscos RV320 eller RV325 Dual Gigabit WAN VPN-routere, så er det vigtigt, at du får opdateret firmware til enhederne med de rettelser fra Cisco, der netop er kommet.
