I already changed the sourcing assignments for the 13 models in SGC as RTW.BUY_SWEDEN. But I cannot do the same for PDS as the sourcing rule is not yet defined I think.

China SGC and PCS Orgs buy the items from RTR directly and not through SMMC, however, what’s showing from their PO is RMT.BUY_SG – RMT
Please advise.
Another question here:
I believe for the flat items before, PCS were advised to update EMR SOURCING ITEM CATEGORY, but will it still be applicable for a Configured Model?

Yes, we buy the items from RTR directly and not through SMMC hence I requested PCS to set up the sourcing category to RTW.BUY_SWEDEN, but looks like the default supplier it capture from the sourcing rule not the sourcing category. So how to solve the issue? Thanks!

I think the issue here is the sourcing assignments in your org. What I see in the SGC org for the models listed in this thread is that all are assigned with RMT.BUY_SG – RMT as the sourcing rule. Given that the orders that are created on these orgs needs to go through SMMC but it seems it’s not the case for these models.

Darrel Kieser has helped RTR to setup sourcing rules for the TG models
You are correct that the models will always be purchased from Sweden. Shipping can be done directly to customer but also to hub.

My understanding as well is that all the RTG models are supposed to be purchased from Sweden and then Sweden will ship directly to the customer.
When I dummy order test against SGC, RTR-BUILD is being driven but shipping is being indicated to be from Singapore which I think is incorrect.
Perhaps this is something that the OSS team can look into since the configurator indicates correctly that the line is RTR-BUILD. I don’t know enough about the PO generation process to be able to advise on what corrections need to be made on that end.

Would you know if there was any involvement from the OSS team in the creation of sourcing rules for these models before they were made available for configuration on the GSOF?

Hi all,
My issue is not the toggle hold, my issue is we requested to set up default sourcing category as Rosemount Tank factory for these models but when we create PO for these models, but the default factory is SMMC.
It will confuse user to select wrong supplier during PO creating, so I want to check and correct with it. Thanks!

I understand that Stanley asked you about having China use the configured model instead of flat items. Based on attached email, you stated it’s okay for China to configure RTG models however direction given to PCS is to only allow this to SMMC. Please clarify.

Joanne is correct on this. There has been no further direction to PCS that we can toggle for China orders. Only those that are for SMMC.
Can you provide any e-mail reference that indicates otherwise? Or if you can loop in someone from RTR who has provided this information.

Please provide request form for this request. As per our current process if it’s not from SMMC or a sales office that orders through SMMC, you will need to use flat items instead of the configured model. See attached email for reference.
