MAINTENANCE CHARGES

In the last AGM which was held on 15th August 2018 , the members were kind enough to appreciate the positions of cash and financials and approved an ad hoc maintenance charges of Rs.6500/- to be collected from the members. This payment was to be made by 15th Sept 2018 and accordingly we had raised the invoice for the same.
Management committee was reviewing the status of receipts of this ad hoc charges yesterday in its monthly meeting and found that out of 234 members , society had received payments from ~ 110 members and hence as on date ~ Rs.8 lacs is due from the members , apart from the routine quarterly maintenance charges.
While expenses are met on due dates, society is finding it extremely difficult to manage these cash flows as lot of amount are still to be collected. While interest will be levied on the amount not paid within the due date ( 15th Sept 2018) , the idea of granting one month time to the members was to ensure payments are transferred to the society account to ensure within the due date. Society had to incur some unplanned costs ( payments to water tanker) etc. and this has further put lot of pressure on cash and society will have to encash some Fixed deposits which has been parked towards repair and other funds. It is not desirable to take recourse to this type of funding.
We request each members to please pay their dues immediately. Further maintenance charges for the current quarter ( Oct 18 to Dec 18) will also become due by 15th Oct 18
