Hi I hope you don’t mind me forwarding Raman’s e-mail about Friends of Floris. I know Raman and David (the new PTA president) very well and have seen how hard they work for our kids. They are going to do everything they can to make this a great year, and the first step is raising the money needed to support enrichment activities. Raman can help--if you have any questions about the online system or where they money goes. If you prefer to do it on paper, I believe a paper donation form went out in the Tuesday packets (or I can get one for you if you don’t have it). Step by step instructions:
1. Register on our online portal called “PTBoard”
2. Join the PTA
3. Contribute to the Friends of Floris Fundraiser
4. Enter contact information for the student directory
If you’re a returning parent, you’ll need to know that PTBoard has replaced P4SS as our online portal. If you’re new, then we’d like you to know that PTBoard is the tool through which you’ll access the PTA’s services – joining the PTA, contributing to our fundraiser, accessing school directory information, and registration for events and before/after-school activities.
How to Register on PTBoard:
1. Please go to http://florispta.ptboard.com
2. Click “Create New Account.”
3. Enter name, email, password and the school code “79DM5U” and click “Sign up.”
4. Check your email where you’ll find something from PTBoard.
5. Open the email, and click “Confirm and Enroll.”
6. Decision point #1. Either click on “Friends of Floris 2015-2016” and follow the steps there or click on “PTA Membership 2015-2016.” Check your other literature in this folder regarding the benefits of Friends of Floris, but please know that if you participate at the $80 per child or $150 per family level, you’ll receive two PTA memberships for free and free access to the student directory. Either way, make sure to click on “Add Student” before you “Add to cart” so we can link parents to children.
7. Decision point #2. If you wish to participate in the student directory (you’ll need this for group projects, birthday parties and playdate), return to the PTBoard home page and find the “School Directory” link on the left side. Click there and find the green button labelled “Manage My Directory Info” and follow the prompts there.
