I am surprised there are no posts about this! (Unless I've used the wrong search terms.) If I'm busy on my Galaxy S8, like browsing the internet, or playing a game, a phone call coming in would not replace the screen you're on, which would startle you, but a small window would pop up at the top of the screen, and politely allow you to answer or discard the call without leaving your page. Until recently, one of the other things it allowed was the option to maximize the screen. This is now gone. The window is tinier, and you can answer or discard, but not maximize. Once you answer, all signs of the phone call in progress are gone, and you can't find a phone s reen on which to enter numbers, if requested to do so! I recently opted not to wait 40 minutes to have my tech support call answered, but for them to call me when ready. When the call ca.e in, I answered the tiny s reen. The recorded voice told me this was the requested call back, and when (my name) was on the phone, I should press 1. Well, there was no screen on which to do that! As I searched through the available screens, there was no phone screen! My anxiety mounted, because I had already waited over an hour in total! This is an absurd feature for Samsung to have removed! What possible motive could have propelled them to do this! My experience was traumatic enough for me to reconsider Samsung in the future! Does anyone know if there is something I can do, or set, to give me more control? Thank you for your time and consideration!
I am trying to develop my first watch face on my Galaxy Watch 5 using WFS. When I Preview My Watchface the font sizes of my complications (such as Date, or Battery Level, or Steps) are as I would expect. When I Run On Device the font size is very small, and does not change when I change font size in WFS. Can anybody help, please?
Hello,
Welcome to this forum.
To make a specific style for a sub-component of complication, you should take care of all complication layouts.
You can check this blog to know about complication layout in detail: Things to Consider when Designing Complication Layouts

Also, is there a reliable way to get a project downloaded to a watch such that it always overwites what is already on the watch? I have frequently found that my downloads do not reflect the changes I have made. It is erratic and frustrating!
I found with the Steps Count that there does not appear to be a default icon (please correct me if I am wroung). Attempts to display the non-existing icon screws everything up. So I used a Text or Text and Title type, suitably sized to get what I wanted.
Many thanks for your comments TwinMarlin, appreciated. I also tried to get just a day of the week (with no icon) to display, but so far I have not been able to - I have parked that for the time being.
referring to? Watch update? OS update? Would this mean that the displaying or not of the Icon would be down to whether a Text and Icon complication was chosen over Text Only, i.e. the way it should be intuitively configured?
Since recent clock app update at the end of February 2024, the alarm names appear too small, making it very difficult to read when one of my alarm goes off. There is no option to adjust font size in the clock app, and changing the font size in display does not change it. Can you please fix this?
@KnightHa: I'm sorry to hear that you're having some trouble making out the alarm name when your alarms are sounding. As a workaround, you may wish to open the Clock app > Alarm > Tap on an alarm > Alarm name, and enter the name in all capitals, as this may help to make it stand out. When you have finished editing the alarm, don't forget to hit 'Save'.
I agree with Tcd3 that this is not an acceptable solution and doesn't make the text any more readable. There needs to be a change to the update so that the font either 1) can be changed in the clock app or 2) the size is governed by the font size set under "display" in the general settings which seems to be was the situation before the update. This is an accessibility issue and should therefore be considered a priority.
I have gone ahead and passed this on to our Research and Development Team, and they will explore the possibility of adding the option to adjust the font size of Alarm names in a future update. Once they get back to me, I will let you know.
@KnightHa: I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The R&D Team have come back to me, and have noted that there are no plans to introduce the option to adjust the font size in the Clock app/Alarm screen. Apologies for any disappointment this may cause you.
With my Samsung A21S I expected to be able to take photos then blow them up to print out as large posters, but the file sizes are just too small. Sure, the image files are fine for social media, online, or on computer screen, but they have limited value elsewhere in the real world (such as printing on a mug or clock even, say through Redbubble).
Looking online for solutions, there's a fair bit on reducing photo file size, which is pretty easy to do, eg. resize the image to 20% - 80% of the original file size, although I want the opposite of that.
However when I go to those Camera settings in my Australian-delivered A21S, I simply don't have an option to change my photo resolution. I can only see that I can change my Front and Rear video size (but only to lesser resolution anyway).
It was all a just a waste of time and effort. Also, beware that you can lose data by following these CSC instructions, so you need to back up in advance, although that isn't covered in the instructions.
Anyway, can someone please confirm if this phone can create much better quality photo image files of maybe around 10+ Mb that could be printed on a large scale, such as say a bed sheet or shower curtain, or even a half or quarter that size?
I bought my Samsung s10e in 2019 and since then I can't upgrade my phone. I have unlimited money (for a phone) but the market doesn't respond to my cravings. And it has been 4 years. I want a new phone with a better cpu, better camera, side-mounted fingerprint scanner and 120hz 5.8 inch screen. Is that too much to ask?
There is also zenfone that felt PERFECT at the store but I don't like the camera there. And I like samsung, I REALLY don't want to switch. But if s23 is another huge brick - I'm going to give up. I just can't take it any longer, I need a new phone that I don't want to break against the wall because it hurts my hand to use it.
I have plenty of friends who feel the same. Unlimited money but no good phones to spend them on. At this point, if you just put a better camera in S10e and upgrade the CPU and the screen (you can even cut the battery in half, I can carry a powerbank..) - I will give you 2k for this monstrosity.
It's all about hitting the niches. Samsung forgot about us, people who like to use phones with one hand. I'm saying that I'm still willing to pay top money and there is literally no way I'm switching to a big phone - I tried. And I will buy s23. And most likely I will return it. And my money will be left on the counter.
Generally carriers impose a maximum file limit of circa 1MB when sending an MMS. iPhone to iPhone was probably using imessage where there is a 100MB limit. There's certainly nothing you can do about this as this is down to Apple and the carrier. I must admit the file you have received is ridiculously small. Perhaps, when sharing photos with an iPhone user they could be uploaded to Google Drive, One Drive etc and the link gets shared.
By small I mean a 20mm dia small white circles in a grid pattern are visble on the display, Its particularly bad on plain backrounds but evident all the time. Photos don't show it very well but I have attached one to try and help. You have to look carefully - its more obvious than this when watching. The TV model is UE50KU6000K and it just over two years old. We have four Samsung TV's in the house - I hope this isn't going to be a trend!
Been advised that its screen failure, uneconomic to repair. Samsung not interested in any goodwill measure. So a 50" Samsung 4K TV only fit for the skip after 2 years and a few months. We have a house full of Samsung products (sound bar, blue ray dvd, 2 other smart tv's, one standard tv, mobile phone, washing machine) but will think seriously about buying another Samsung tv if they only last 2 years.
Sorry to here that. The problem you have is to show it was inherent fault and then you could malke a claim. Still worth getting advice from Citzens Advice because it is not unreasonable to expect the TV to last longer than that.
Small businesses should focus on features in four key areas: security (including lost device features such as remote wipe and remote lock); software and application controls (including patching and update settings); configuration push for email, networking and VPN; and simple reporting on device status and inventory.
Cloud-based MDM solutions let small business IT managers gain big-business security for mobile devices without unwelcome complexity or high costs. Spend a little time now, and save a lot of time later by gaining better control of, and delivering better support for, smartphones and tablets.
