I would have come to a meeting but oh well..

To the best of my recollection, the original RoseLUG petered out when
Verbus left the area. Another fellow I know, Richardo, resurrected the
club, but it only lasted a short while (a few meetings?).

Unfortunately, the Yahoo! Group that he had set up became filled with
nothing but spam, so I actually stopped linking to it from the LUGOD
webpage where we list other User Groups.

Since LUGOD's chugging along (guest speakers, regular meetings, etc.),
we get people from outside Davis coming on a fairly regular basis.

For folks who are interested in hitting LUGOD and/or SacLUG meetings,
but don't feel like driving, I always encourage pinging the clubs'
mailing lists to see if anyone from their area is going and willing
to carpool.

Ricardo. No h. Never had it. Never will. ;)

It was a google group. Spam was a problem, but the site has been free
of it for some time.

D'OH! Typo-of-habit. ;) Sorry.

Although... "Richardo"... that's a cool name. (Jotting down for if we
have a second kid. Along with "Aemilius Maximus.")

Oh, sorry. 99% of the 'groups' I ever see are still Yahoo! ones.

Obviously, my memory has become hazy. ;)

That's a good idea. I've liked lugod the couple times I've attended but
the drive is just too long for me to do it more than a few times a year.
